COLLAGEN

Collagen is one of the most important protein in human organism. It is present in almost all of our tissues. It is a fundamental element building our skin, tendons, bones, joints and cornea of the eye. It is responsible for producing synovial fluid, elasticity and toughness of cartilage, hydration of the skin, as well as proper restoration of epidermis. It affects density, durability and elasticity of connective tissue. It also has a unique ability to bond water, causing the right firmness, elasticity and tightness of the skin. After reaching 26 years of age, amount of collagen fibers decrease naturally and organism loses the ability to restore it. Increased physical activity further potentiates the process of destroying collagen and that is why its supplementation is very important during intense workouts. Collagen deficiency is a reason for movement disorders, joint stiffness, back pain, wrinkles, celluite, lowered hydration and firmness of the skin.

Natural Marine Collagen – it is a form of collagen derived from sea fish, in this case Atlantic cod living in North Sea and Baltic. Research shows (1), that collagen derived from fish with its effectiveness and absorption is far superior to its farm animals counterparts. Collagen is also recognized as elixir of youth, in aesthetic medicine, recommended for years by dermatologists, cosmetologists and pharmacists as an effective way for keeping your youth. Its beneficial functions are confirmed by scientific research (2) and were appreciated by a lot of celebrities, so in Germany and Switzerland it is being used for everyday care of a lot of woman and man as a result.

Vitamin C

Human organism does not produce nor cumulate vitamin C, that is why it has to be delivered every day from outside. It is crucial to supplement collagen in conjunction with vitamin C.

Glucosamine

Naturally it is present in human organism but as we age its production is decreasing. Glucosamine is a substance regenerating joints and new healthy cartilage. It takes part in proteoglycans synthesis (substance that is a building clock of joint cartilage), which helps with strengthening and recovering degenerated joints.

Chondroitin

Supports cartilage regeneration which does not has its circulatory system and is being feed through synovial fluid. Chondroitin deficiency  causes unsufficient supply of  required ingredients for cartilages,  later on resulting in damaged and degenerated cells, incapable of recovering after everyday activities. Primary cartilage mass loses its elasticity losing its damping function as a result. This creates further cartilage degeneration and developes  osteoarthritis.

Hyaluronic acid

Joint cartilage to regenerate and function correctly, requires constant resupply of hyaluronic acid which counteracts its drying. Hyaluronic acid absorbed from digestive system to bloodstream,  gets delivered to joints and tissues in your: skin, eyes, heart valves, bones and intervertebral discs .
